"Det Som Engang Var" (Norwegian for "What Once Was") is Burzum's second studio album, recorded in April 1992. "Det Som..." would come to feature a slightly more polished sound and is often considered as one of the main landmarks in Norwegian Black Metal.

"From the Depths of Darkness" holds Varg's favorite tracks from his two first albums, "Burzum" and "Det Som Engang Var", re-recorded in 2010 the way he originally intended.
According to Varg, yet another return-to-the-roots album, with a strong focus on atmosphere and wholeness rather than anything else and special emphasis on the lyrics (a total of 66 stanzas have been written for the album).
Similar to Burzum’s previous Ambient albums, but differing in style and vocal expression. Haunting story telling channeled through distinct vocals combined with Varg’s compositions, inspired by his in-depth knowledge of European history and evolution.
"Burzum / Aske" gathers the self-titled debut, depicting the project's early days with a very raw and primitive approach to Black Metal reminiscent of early Bathory. 180gr. vinyl.

"Draugen" collects all the rare, early and cult recordings in one package. Originally released as a bootleg, this has now been remastered and is pressed on vinyl for the first time.
Much like "Dauði Baldrs", and also recorded during imprisonment, "Hliðskjálf" continues to blend Medieval and Neoclassical motives inspired by Norse mythology into Varg's minimalist synth Ambient compositions.
The working title for the next Burzum album is "Thulêan Mysteries" and it has a Thulêan theme. The intention of the album is to be background music for the MYFAROG game session. It might well work for other situations too...
Burzum's fifth album was conceived and recorded in jail, using a synthesizer (the only instrument available to him at the time). It strays away from the early Black Metal sound in its mix of medieval music, ambient, neoclassical and minimalism.
