Can’s influence is well known and far-reaching and the impact they made on music is felt today as keenly as ever has been. Of all the band’s oeuvre, "Tago Mago" has been most often cited as an influence for a host of artists.
"Ege Bamyasi" drops the haze and hits with a sharp pang from the get-go. Often described as the "tense" Can album, "Ege Bamyasi" is actually the band at its most focused.
Considered by many the finest Can album, "Future Days" was the fifth studio album by Can. It is the last album to feature Japanese vocalist Damo Suzuki, exploring the Ambient direction introduced on "Ege Bamyasi".
Two mesmerizing works for carillon, the keyboard-controlled bell tower derived in the 16th century: a new piece recorded at the artist's studio in Belgium, and a eulogy for Tony Conrad, performed on the bells of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
