Conceived when Laibach were infamously invited to perform in North Korea in 2015, where they performed several songs from the 1965 film’s soundtrack at the concert in Pyongyang, with the proper Laibach treatment!
On 12th October 1987 Laibach, made a stop at the Bremen Schlachthof. This live album was recorded on that occasion, and is now released 33 years later, after Laibach have edited the "old" original recordings and digitally mastered them in their studio.
Music from the band’s theatre production Wir Sind das Volk (We are the People), which premiered at HAU (Berlin) in 2020. The piece was based on the writings of Heiner Müller (1929-1995), one of the most significant German-language playwrights and poets.
